The Story Behind the Clip

Like most Atelier Reel creations, this one started with a moment of frustration. Somewhere on a long drive from Stockholm to the French Alps, the X100VI was pulled out of the glove box — only to reveal it had switched itself on along the way. The battery was dead, and the SD card had a blackout video long as a feature film. That was the moment we knew this problem needed a real solution.

After a few rounds of testing viral TikTok fixes (including a brief masking-tape era), we sketched a better idea: a simple, tool-free clip that holds the ON/OFF switch exactly where you want it. OFF.

The first version worked, but it introduced a new issue: it was easy to misplace. To solve that, we added a discreet attachment point. A few late nights and dozens of fit tests later, we landed on a version we trust on our own fuji. We think you'll trust it on yours, too.

Will the Power Lock Clip scratch or damage my camera?
No. The clip is designed with safe tolerances, printed using non-abrasive material, and only applies light pressure to keep your power switch in the OFF position. Tip: if you've been shooting in sand/dust, wipe the area before installing (dust is the usual cause of marks with any accessory).
Does it lock the camera ON too?
No—this is designed to lock the switch in the OFF position to prevent accidental power-ons inside a bag. It's meant to be removed when you want to turn the camera on.
Can I leave it on while shooting?
You can, but most people use it as a quick "bag lock." For normal use: clip on before packing your camera, clip off when you're ready to shoot.
